The new K-Search discovery catalog combines the CONSORT and OhioLINK search tools along with the Chalmers Library catalog into one search interface.
Why is this happening?
In conjunction with OhioLINK, the Chalmers Library has completed migration to a new library services platform and a newly revamped K-Search tool for locating information sources. The library services platform migration project was initiated in 2023 by a statewide RFP coordinated by the OhioLINK academic library consortium and affecting all of its 117 member libraries. This is the first major software overhaul of its kind to be performed in over twenty-five years.
What will be affected?
The platform migration combines the tools known as K-Search, CONSORT, and the OhioLINK catalog. Resources previously searched for within these three separate platforms can now be located through a single K-Search interface. All content- and title-level searches for all formats will begin with K-Search, which can be filtered to direct to the most efficient access. K-Search also serves as the portal to monitor your library account. Your current Kenyon credentials will serve as the primary means for accessing and requesting resources.
When did this happen?
The migration “go-live” date occurred June 25th, 2025.
